A Real Turkey

Yay, let me know how it turns out. Did you read the bit about turkeys in _Animal, Vegetable, Miracle_? Apparently standard commercial turkeys are so inbred and top heavy that they can't even reproduce without human intervention. Yipes!

Yeah I just read that standard heritage breeds are "Standard” breed turkeys as defined by the American Poultry Association (APA) are those breeds that physical structure allow them to mate naturally, who retain the hardiness to live a long, productive life outdoors, and who grow at a natural rate which is slow relative to commercial production standards..." I guess that's what you mean by top heavy!!
