Second Guess the H1N1 emergency

A CBS report...turns out the CDC stopped counting official reports and confirmed cases of h1n1 on August 30th, 2009. This flu strain isn't as widespread as it's being reported in the media. The majority of cases that are being serumologically confirmed, aren't even flu strains at all.
I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but from the sampled data, only ~2% (data varies from state to state, and we are still waiting on final reports from the CDC) have been confirmed h1n1 strains.
