This was fun to braid the pie top. It makes it look so home-made! It also was a LOT of work! My sister had taught me how to make a pie-crust a few days before- and it seemed to go so smooth when she was there. Her food processor handled all the butter much more easily than mine did, and I ended up doing my crust in 4 batches instead of 2- and I had to do a little more of the butter mashing by hand (just what had prevented me from making pie crusts for the past 2 years). But all in all it was SO worth it. And now i'm not afraid to make pies! I'm excited!
